Firehole
Firehole is Thermal Themes' outdoor theme — one theme, a complete demo store. It pairs editorial-landscape storytelling with the spec-and-materials merchandising technical gear needs, and ships a complete, fully merchandised demo store. Named for the Firehole River — where Yellowstone's hot springs feed the water, fire and water in one place. (Grand Prismatic Spring, which gave Prismatic its name, drains into the Firehole; the two themes are the same place on the map.)
Firehole ships with the Firehole preset — a bright-but-refined register, hot saturated colour held under quiet type and layout — and a complete demo store, branded Headwaters, a Montana-rooted gear outfitter. The preset is a starting point you replace with your own content. See Presets for how the preset is configured.
Who it's for
Outdoor, gear, and apparel brands whose storefront has to read as credible and aspirational — real materials and field-tested specs under big, confident imagery. Outfitters, technical-apparel labels, and equipment makers that want editorial polish without losing the spec depth a buyer actually needs to decide. The bright, saturated palette is a brand axis, not a loud one: type and layout stay disciplined, the colour carries the energy.
What ships
- 33 drop-in sections plus configurable header, footer, and announcement bar — 52 section files in total — built on the thermal-base substrate
- 14 templates — home, product, collection, collections list, cart, search, blog, article, page, contact, theme features, 404, password, gift card
- Configurable colour schemes designed to alternate per section — define as many as you need; the Firehole preset ships a bright high-country palette
- Specification tables that render from blocks or directly from a product metafield — capacity, load, weight, dimensions, materials, weather rating, fabric composition
- Spec-on-card merchandising — collection cards can carry one key spec (e.g. "40L · 1,100g") beside the title, a deliberate gear-store tell
- Collection filtering with sidebar, top-bar, or off-canvas drawer layouts — built to filter by department, activity, capacity, and material — with removable filter chips and load-more pagination
- Product gallery with six desktop layouts plus four mobile layouts, thumbnail rail, variant-image swap, and a contained zoom lightbox
- Editorial depth — shop-the-look, hot spots, creator spotlight, and a Field Journal blog for trip reports, gear guides, and materials stories
- Display type scale — most sections can render their heading at an oversized display size for big landscape moments
- Mega menu — multi-level navigation with an optional feature-image panel
- Online Store 2.0 — JSON templates, section groups, theme blocks, app blocks
